The rooms are clean, hotel has a nice beach and resort, but most of the facilities such as outdoor pool, aqua park and night club was closed during our stay, since they claim it is not summer yet. The personal are nice and friendly. But they will charge you for everything basically. Although dinner was included in our booking, we have to pay for the water or any soft drink separately. The safe box was available in all the room, but still you have to pay extra charges to use it, which is not appropriate... more

I honestly could not give this hotel more than three stars - and I truly do not know how it is rated 5*........Although we requested a no smoking room and sea view our room smelled of cigarettes and we were told we would have to pay three times more to change to a different no smoking room with a better sea view......I did have difficulty to check in after my fiancee arrived before me and checked in........I did not know the hotel room we were assigned as his phone had no signal and the hotel reception... more

Stayed for a week at this hotel, the last week in October. Unfortunately we did not know this was a local religious festival and therefore the hotel was packed. There were thousands of people everywhere. The restaurant was like a school dining hall magnified a hundred times. If you get the chance, when busy, use the restaurant up the stairs - it is much nicer. This is a good hotel with great facilities. Lovely (small) beach with beautiful clear water. Food is excellent, although to British... more

I chose this hotel on a recommendation from a friend who stayed there a few years ago. I think it has got bigger since then. After booking, I read some mixed reviews, and wondered what I had committed us to...but it all turned out to be lovely. We stayed in a 'bungalow' and not the main hotel blocks, and we liked going back to our little house on its leafy pathway. There are rows and rows of bungalows but the layout is such that you don't come across your neighbours much, and there are lots of... more

We enjoyed a 10 day stay at the Acapulco at the end of October. The first weekend we were there was absolutely manic, due to Bayram, a local festival. This meant that the lobby area resembled a luggage store most days, with people arriving and departing and meals were awful. The food selection is great, but there is no management in the dining room and no one has considered what the experience is like for the diner. There are queues for everything, which could be avoided easily by having 2 stations... more

Overall, it was a good holiday, but there are some reservations. Originally allocated a bungalow, we refused to stay in one and would not recommend them to anyone. They were dark, with very small shuttered windows (presumably to protect privacy as people are walking past all the time) and although situated in pleasant gardens, there was no outside personal space to sit. We were then allocated a very nice room in the Palm Court for which we had to pay a supplement, but the meals were served in... more

We stay the last days of September first of October. the weather was fabulous, the beach clean and transparent with some little fish swimming along. the personnel was at all times very attentive and friendly, our bungalow was clean daily. But the best bit was the food. I have never eat in a place that I didn't know what to choose, all in abundance , fresh, tasty, I don't even like sweets and I tried them all!is a 5 stars resort, but is a bit dated on decor. definitely no a boutique hotel, but the... more

My wife and I took our baby daughter to this hotel for her first holiday and we were already really fond of northern cyprus so we decided to use gonorthcyprus.com again this year and book up at the Acapulco Beach Club hotel. We were also joined by her grandparents on her mother's side and my brother. The stay lasted 9 nights, and from start to finish it was absolutely brilliant. Hotel is very big and on quite a steep slope - not for the unfit.Sun loungers are the best ever on the lawn area but some of the pool towels are no bigger than a hand towel so it's either sit on it or lean back on it - you can't cover both!Meals were very repetitive although there were plenty of salad. They seemed to be aimed entirely at the Turkish/Arab market with cheap meat in a variety of stews. We have travelled over most of the world but this was the worst so far. This is a great hotel and complex particularly for children. We had a great time and the food was really good. The only thing to be aware of is their 'all inclusive Fullboard plus' We were told by the tour operator that it included unlimited drinks as per most all inclusive packages, but when we got there, it was in fact only at lunch and dinner meal times, not throughout the day or in the evenings which is quite important when you have thirsty children and it is 40 degrees there! I booked this so called 5 star hotel from internet for 3 nights full board in late December with my wife and 4 years old daughter. The hotel is advertised as 5 star. However, generally it looks like a 4 star hotel. The day we checked in, the bathtub did not have a plug. So we had to ask for it. The bathtub shower splash shields had black mold at various places. Loved the beach bar for drinks and snacks, and if we got too hot, we just ran into in the sea! Didn't bother with the water sports - too much effort in the heat, as it was HOT HOT HOT!OK, we didn't spend ALL our time on the beach - we sat by the swimming pool as well! Most of us girls liked swimming in the... more

The Mediterranean is a great place for a beach holiday - if it weren't for the crowds in the summer. Which is why I always go early in the season to beach resort hotels - you get the sun but not the heat, the sand but not the crowds, and peace instead of endless noise from other people's untamed kids.So I had no hesitation in booking the Acapulco in that blissful time between Easter and summer half term, when the sun shines on those who are not tied to school holiday timetables! At this time of... more

The hotel offered a large range of services all at top level.Perhaps I would have appreciated a "tipical" restaurant in addition to the excellent self service restaurant. The sea view from my room was wanderfull and all members of the staff were cooperative, polite and always at my disposal. The rate service/price is the best I found in both part of Cyprus.... more

High quality hotel complex with extensive grounds including large swimming pool with slides and childrens area and quieter relaxing pool for adults only. Spacious and clean bedrooms with balcony large enough to sit out in comfort and ensuite facilities. Breakfast and dinner were eaten outside on an extensive terrace overlooking the beach with attentive waiter service. Range of food on self service was superb,at both meals.Extensive salads would please even the most demanding vegetarian, with a good... more

It's our 4th visit to the resort in 5 years and we are now 50+ years and like peace and quiet. We love the great beach and we think the food is great with a very good range for all, particularly the salads which are very fresh and varied.Hot food not bad either, good breakfast also.Atthough the resort is remote, it is a cheap, short trip by bus to Kyrenia, with regular pick-ups from the hotelIf you like a lot of entertainment and chips, this maybe not the best place for you, however the indoor pool... more

I stayed at the hotel for a week with my young son who is 11yrs old and had a very good time.We stayed in one of the bungalows which was very nicely furnished bright, airy and also very clean. The facilities are very good the swimming pools are excellent and my son had a ball up and down the slides. The food was of a good standard plenty of choice both hot and cold dishes although sometimes not always what you might expect. The leisure facilities are excellent good indoor swimming pool and an good... more

I've recently come back from Cyprus where I took my family for a weeks holiday. We looked through the brochures and decided upon the Acapulco Beach Club and Hotel as it was a 5 star and we wanted to splash out and treat ourselves a bit. The hotel was located quite close to the airport and the transfer took about 15-20 minutes which was good news for the children after a flight out here. We also liked that the Acapulco Beach Hotel wasn't very far away from the attractions such as Kyrenia Castle,... more

We were not 100% sure of visiting North Cyprus or a beach resort hotel like the Acapulco in February, but we're really glad we did. The Acapulco's nice sandy beach was clean, and although swimming was decidedly for the brave, the sunshine was lovely for just sitting and relaxing, (not so good if the wind was blowing). I also enjoyed just sitting in the bungalow and reading a book, something I just don't seem to find time for at home, despite being retired! Our bungalow was clean, neat and perfectly... more

Stayed at the Acapulco Beach for two weeks half-board and had a great holiday. Flight was delayed so arrived late and tired. We checked in and were shown to our room which thankfully was really nice. It had loads of space although the furniture was a little old-fashioned. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a dream every night.I heard that Cypriot staff were always friendly and helpful, and they certainly were here. I was very impressed with the hotel facilities, especially as it was a... more

We went to the Acapulco this january and reckoned the hotel would be just as good as during the summer, but quieter. However, I suspect winter guests like us don't always get the best service. The staff seemed tired and not keen on working too hard, so everything took ages. Checking in after a long flight seemed to drag on for ages, but the hotel room with sea view was clean and comfortable once we got into it!I don't ever expect much from hotel food on package deals, just as well, the food was... more

Stanley and I visited the Acapulco hotel in November to find a delightful location in North Cyprus. As a Mediterranean location the temperatures were much warmer than our Bath homeland. While the temperatures were not conducive to beach bathing or swimming they were wonderful for little walks along the sand. My husband and I found many evenings to watch the sunsets on the beach. The food was very healthy and good. The only negative in the trip was the lack of other attractions around the hotel.... more

First the good stuff. The Acapulco has the best and cleanest beach in North Cyprus, and our two small kids loved it. It was busy but not overcrowded (late September) and on a couple of days when the wind blew, the kids enjoyed the swimming pools instead. We got a bungalow which gave us space to relax, but it were dark and the air con was pretty much on its last legs. Staff were really friendly towards the kids. Food was uninspiring but loads of it, which pleased my ever-hungry husband. The not so... more

My fiancé and I decided to take a little trip to celebrate our engagement. We stayed at the Acapulco Hotel in Kyrenia due to the wonderful value on the vacation package we were able to obtain. Upon arrival we were shown to our little bungalow, which sat in just the right location to see the sea and beach. Acapulco Hotel is set on a private bay offering a quiet location for a romantic getaway. September was the perfect month to arrive in Kyrenia because most of the tourists were already gone... more

All things considered, I would not recommend this hotel. Sure, the beach is nice, but you pay an exorbitant price for a bottle of water. All of the drinks in the complex are too expensive, and they don't let you bring in your own drinks from outside the hotel. I can understand this ok when it comes to making money in their bar from alcohol, but when it is so hot; it is just a rip off to make guests pay so much for water. There wasn't even any water provided for free with dinner. I was on holiday... more

I travelled to North Cyprus in August. The weather was still warm for sunbathing and a little swimming. My stay at the Acapulco Hotel was enjoyable in all areas. I was given a hotel with a view of the sea. It would have been nice to see the mountains from my room, but that was not possible. I was able to enjoy the mountains from the pool area. The pool was laid out well with plenty of loungers, and drinks were available. The hotel was full of a variety of guests from children, students, and... more

Just returned from a two week family holiday in Kyrenia where we had a really great time. It was quite hot for the children, aged 6 and 4, being August, and as it was quite busy around the pool but there was plenty of shade. The aquapark was a great feature of the resort and all the children loved the chutes and slides. The beach was close by and the children enjoyed playing in the sand and cooling off in the shallow clear water. I can also recommend the kids club activities run by the hotel. The... more

Had an an awesome time at the Acapulco with my friend Sal. best part is the beach - big, loads of sunbeds, really hot weather, warm sea, and a bar, right next to the hotel - brill! pool is big with waterslides, but lots of kids, so we stuck to the beach most of the time.Breakfast good and served for ages so you didn't have to get up early. Its a big hotel, so dinner took ages to come some nights, but it was really nice and tasty. drinks costs a lot, and we were really p****d off when a security... more

The Acapulco was a great choice for our family holiday. Cyprus is always reliable with the weather, with lots of sun! The hotel has an absolutely massive pool, with slides for the kids (ok, so maybe the adults enjoyed them too). The area around the pool was always clean and well maintained while we were there, and there seemed to be the right number of sunbeds for everyone. In case the pool isn't enough, the hotel has a private beach too, which is nicer than a lot of the stony beaches in Cyprus.... more

The great thing about this Hotel is that it was right on the Beach with its own private cove. The weather in late May was just perfect, sunny and warm. We spent most days sunbathing and relaxing by one of the pools. The hotel is a few miles from Kyrenia, but there is a hotel shuttle bus which was very convenient when you want to go shopping.I was really impressed with the facilities at this resort – tennis, volleyball, basketball, fitness centre, Jacuzzi, Turkish baths (you must try!) and a great... more

I wasn't sure if the Acapulco Resort Hotel would be the best place for a May holiday, but I was wrong! The beach is lovely and the weather was warm enough to sit out and just read, or look at the scenery - very relaxing. The swimming pool is impressive but with that lovely beach I couldn't see the point of it much! The resort was not full so you always could find a space to sit and relax - not sure that would happen at the height of the summer? The restaurant food was nice in the hotel, and the... more
