The Hideaway Club resort is an oasis in a desert of noisy, overcrowded family hotels. As the name suggests it's just off the beaten track outside of Kyrenia proper in the nearby hills. They have a strict no under-12s policy and whilst this acts as an unfortunate exclusion of families with younger children the difference in atmosphere and noise levels is incredible. This hotel is run by a very nice family which was pointed out by the lady we booked with. I think her name was Sue and she worked for a company called go north cyprus.com. In the main building there are a set of rooms and bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow, they are not very big but there is space enough for two people. Been to North Cyprus three times in the past three years and thought somewhere new would be a nice change so we found the Hideaway Club Hotel thanks to Go North Cyprus booking company. The hotel is buried in the mountains. If you are the kind of holiday maker that likes to relax at a hotel without exploring the city you are in then this is definitely the place for you. We had a fantastic 11 night holiday on a half board basis. Lovely room, beautiful pool and outstanding staff - all made it a perfect holiday. We've been to lots of places but this is the first that I would really be keen on going back to. The views around the hotel are lovely, the mountains behind and the sea in front. If I had one suggestion then it would be for the hotel to provide a shuttle bus service into town, as in the heat of July and August it was just too hot and too far to walk. We hired... more
We chose to stay at the Hideaway Club hotel after reading the reviews of others who had stayed there. The location is perfect and the views spectacular. Our seaview suite had a good sized living room and bedroom and a small bathroom The balcony was huge, with a view over Kyrenia to the mediterranean. Spent 3 nights at the Hideaway as part of our extended holiday exploring North Cyprus.Kyrenia was very different to Famagusta where we were renting a traditional Cypriot house within the city walls and although much more "touristy" we found the Hideaway Club to be a quiet and friendly haven with fabulous views.Our suite was welcoming and the staff were very friendly - we are sure that we will return in the future.... more
My husband and I had planned a romantic second honeymoon and were searching for the ideal place. We found it in Hideaway Club Hote, North Cyprus. Not too pricey, but romantic and secluded, the Hideaway was our dream vacation! The rooms were nice and the hotel offered balcony breakfasts, which we took advantage of. Paradise is the only way to describe our stay at the Hideaway Club Hotel. My husband and I were looking for a little new year treat, nothing too pricey but at the same time we didn't want to skimp! Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lovely location with the mountains behind and sea views to the front. The lack of children makes the Hideaway very relaxing and peaceful. Breakfast on the room balcony overlooking the sea was a great treat. Lots of help with advice on resteraunts to visit. Slight problem with feral cats trying to get into rooms and wanting scraps from the table when eating outdoors, although generally they go away when shoood. This was an even bigger problem... more
We were recommended this hotel by close friends and we were not disappointed, all the staff were excellent and gave sound advise on wines, restaurants, etc. The location is superb as are the views and the pool and bar area are great.The only downside is because we were the first guests of the season there was a lot of refurbishment work going on early in the morning which would have upset some but it did encourage us to get out and see the area.... more
My wife and I decided to treat ourselves near Christmas with a winter get away. We couldn't have been more pleased with the stay we had at the Hideaway Club. As it was the winter season, the hotel was fairly quiet, which for us was a bonus. Even better was the fact that we had a free room upgrade because there was one available. We are very pleased with our stay in the Hideaway Hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the Kyrenia district, close to to Kyrenia city. It has a relaxed atmophere, the staff is friendly and helpful, the kitchen is good and service is excellent. There is a nice swimming pool on the premises and fantastic sea views from the balcony.This hotel can be easily recommended to other guests.... more
We managed to get a room at the last moment as we had not booked. The staff were as always very helpful, friendly and unabtrusive. We dined there for the 2 nights and each meal was excellent and good quality, served with a smile. This is only are 2nd stay, but we will be back again soon. The views from our cottage were beautiful and the cottage was excellent, tea/coffee making facilities.A big thankyou to all the staff.... more
Joan and I needed a break and the Hideaway turned out to be the ideal spot, every breakfast on the balcony great views nothing to much trouble for the staff, the batteries were well and truly recharged, will go again later in the year, if you want to get away from it all this is the place.Would recommend the Hideaway at any time many first class resturants in the area for a night out and just a short from the harbour area.Parking to the front of the building is a bit cramped if you have a car.... more
My wife and I stayed at the Hideaway Club each time we have visited North Cyprus. The hotel offers a friendly staff with Adam and Ali and the boys. They are all very helpful, kind, and keep the hotel clean. Everything is immaculate, and the cleaning staff should be given kudos for their abilities. There is always a smiling face to greet you! The Hideaway Club is splendid. My husband and I stayed at the hotel towards the end of September, providing us with a lovely spot without children or noise makers. For most of our trip we stayed by the pool, read, and took in the sun. The September months were still quite warm in North Cyprus. We have just returned from the most idyllic resort I have stayed in. Everything was perfect, from the light and airy rooms, to the beautiful mountain views from the pool. The Hideaway Club is one of the best hotels in North Cyprus and deserves its excellent reputation as everyone there works so hard to make your holiday perfect. Booked as a surprise my partner took me to a hotel called the Hideaway Club in Cyprus for 2 weeks in the sunshine after finishing my current job. We booked just after the main season rush and managed to get a good deal on the whole thing. Our room didn't have a sea view which we requested (and paid for) so the hotel staff had to keep us waiting for an hour while they moved us to an alternative which did have a scenic sea view. My wife and I had visited North Cyprus once before and had a nice time but the weather wasn't fantastic so we came back again. What a gorgeous hotel the Hideaway Club is! I did not want to leave, which says it all. The scenery all around is just beautiful, with views from the pool across to the mountain peaks, and colourful flowers everywhere. We upgraded to a private suite and it had its own private terrace which was perfect for relaxing and reading on. We always enjoy coming back to the Hideaway, because we know we will be made to feel very welcome, which is important to us. We like the good service, the nice food and the lovely views, which set this hotel apart from others in North Cyprus that we tried when looking at buying property here.
