British Hotel is a boutique hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus. Tucked up a pretty cobbled side street, the British Hotel is just behind historic Kyrenia harbour, with its restaurants, shops and cafés. This friendly hotel has recently been renovated, so every one of its 18 rooms has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV and really comfortable beds. The harbour views from the British Hotel's roof terrace are probably the best in Kyrenia!

First Stay at the British Hotel

We chose this hotel for the location and view, which was spot on. Our particular bedroom had a great view and was very spacious and tastefully decorated, I think the room must have been recently refurbished. The beds and cushions were of a good standard and were exceptionally comfortable. There were plenty of facilities such as the coffee/tea maker but there is a small charge for the small sachets to use as apparently it classes as part of the mini bar! Hotel was nice but tired

hotel was well positioned, from outside looked nice but on entering it was obviously in nead of freshening up and the bedroom even though where light and cleen also where tired and needed up dating , bathroom was in great need of refurbishing and plumbing was bad, floor flooded every time you showered,trim around bath was mouldy and cracked away from wall, balcony railings needed painting and concrete was breaking away in places, air conditioning units where rusty, patio furniture where dirty and... more

Two days in Kyrenia

We were recomanded this hotel from some friend, who had been there a couple of years ago, and we were not disappointed.The hotel is very nice and clean. Very helpful people. The service is very good and kind. A good hotel and not expensive and it has the most beautiful view over the harbour from the top of the hotel.The hotel also has a beautiful breakfast. We only stayed for two days, but we will be back for sure.... more

British Hotel - Kyrenia .... Clean, friendly and adequate

Stayed at the British Hotel in Kyrenia for 2 weeks in June 2009. Verdict - not the best but certainly not the worst!The hotel staff were very friendly and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible.The rooms are in average condition, clean and adequate to rest after a hard days soaking up the sun. Much for the money

Near to the harbor. Near to casinos. We use Hotel Domes pool and beach, 5 min walk.The hotel is clean but our room (105) needs a lot of maintance.Personal is friendly and the breakfast was very good.If you like a hotel in the center. This is perfect!You can walk to all facalitis. ... more

it was wonderfull

Good value, I would stay again

The Hotel is 1 street back from the harbour wall next to the White Pearl. It is a good quiet style hotel with a helpful, welcoming staff and atmosphere. It has a lift but a couple of steps up from street level to the ground floor and from the ground floor to the lift. The rooms were very clean and tidy, although one of the rooms I stayed in, over 2 visits, the plumbing had some of the usual Cyprus probs. Internet is available free of charge and works well. Good value, delightful staff

Picture gives the impression that the hotel is directly on the harbour. It is,in fact one street back. This is of little consequence as rooms on the upper floors have a commanding view of the harbour and castle. It is close to the activity of Pafos.Not plush but very comfortable and spotlessly clean.The staff were most accommodating, friendly and fun.The hotel is a "one stop shop" and will arrange everything - airport transfer,car hire etc.... more

Good hotel in an excellent location

We booked the British Hotel because we don't drive and we wanted to stay right in the centre of Kyrenia, rather than outside the city in a resort hotel. The British Hotel was ideal as it overlooked the harbour, and the entrance was up a pretty little cobbled side street. From the balcony in our room we had a superb view across the harbour to Kyrenia Castle, which was a great place to sit and watch the boats come and go. I would imagine in high summer it could be noisy on your balcony from the restaurants... more
