The Savoy Ottoman certainly deserves its 5* rating. Probably the best hotel we have stayed in. There wasn't a single aspect which we could fault during our 9 night stay. The staff provided excellent and friendly service, the rooms and amenities are new and very clean, food very good. Situated in the centre of Girne just a few minutes walk from the harbour area the Savoy provided us just the break we wanted. When we go back to TRNC we'll certainly stay at the Savoy Ottoman.... more
We decided that the Savoy Ottoman looked a cut above the average hotel in Kyrenia just from its pictures, and we were not disappointed. It really does gleam like a palace!Often hotels out of season can be deathly and staff can tend to kick back, but at the Savoy Ottoman we got excellent service, and the staff seemed genuinely pleased to help. Travelling out of season is when I find my best deals, and staying at the Savoy was a good choice. Getting time away is hard when you're a doctor so you take your holidays when you can. Although I didn't get the full benefits of the weather in Cyprus the hotel was wonderful. Since it was in November there were not many guests so I almost had the hotel to myself. Stayed at the Savoy Ottoman Palace last October as a holiday for me and my boyfriend. Had a beautiful room which was fantastic. Had two pools so didn't have to share with others too much. We spent lots of time lying in the sun and drinking beers!!!! Loads of food to eat at breakfast which came with room. Since we were here in October there weren't very many people so got great service. Tried playing at the casino for a night but lost money so didn't like it very much. Not a lot of partying... more
The Savoy Ottoman Palace is a new, plush casino hotel that ticks every box in terms of, well, plush casino hotels. Paulo and I booked because we wanted a touch of luxury on holiday in a hotel that wouldn't be dull, dirty or in need of new decor, as many older North Cyprus hotel seems to be, according to reviews we read.
