We love the family atmosphere at Sammy's Hotel, this was our third visit and it doesn't disappoint. It's not the Ritz but the price reflects this and the friendly feel of the place is what we go for really. We book through gonorthcyprus as they always find us a good deal and arrange transfers. This was our third visit to Sammy's with GoNorthCyprus. We always get a good deal at this time of year and we love the hotel, the staff are so welcoming and it feels like a home from home. I decided to book a week away last minute after having a look at the gonorthcyprus site and finding Sammy's. It's a cheap, basic hotel but it looked fine as a base for exploring Kyrenia, so I booked in very cheaply. Sammy's is ideal for a budget-friendly break with a warm welcome. We were very pleased with our deal from gonorthcyprus and arrived to friendly staff when we visited in January. The room was decent, clean enough and with a nice little balcony, pretty basic but fine for the price. The only thing that could improve is the comfort of the beds, they are very firm. We booked a week's stay at Sammy's on the advice of Gary at GoNorthCyprus and we couldn't be happier. We booked a short break at Sammy's with gonorthcyprus and have just returned feeling that we got excellent value. It was our first time staying here but it won't be our last, such a warm welcome from the very friendly staff who just can't do enough for their guests. We've been to Kyrenia before but not to Sammy's, we happened on the hotel while looking for somewhere to stay on the GoNorthCyprus website as our usual hotel was booked up. My girlfriend and I booked a last minute break to Kyrenia through www.gonorthcyprus, who were a brilliant travel agent! They found us a great deal and flights to boot and they had really extensive knowledge about North Cyprus so we were able to a lot of planning before we got there. One huge highlight was Kyrenia Harbour and if we were to go to Kyrenia again, we'd probably choose to stay on the harbour side. The rooms at the Sammy's Hotel are comfortable and spacious, not to mention quite clean. The maid service in this hotel is second to none and you get fresh towels every day. The rest of the hotel is also kept beautifully clean, as is the outdoor pool.Although the choice of food at the Sammy's wasn't great, everything we had was tasty and fresh. The staff at Sammy's were truly wonderful. We arrived for our holiday very late in the evening, after most people would have gone to bed, but the staff at Sammy's were waiting for us and did everything they could to get us comfortable and settled. Our room was exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff was very thorough during our stay as well and made sure we were kept in clean towels and our bed was changed regularly. We LOVED this hotel! I can't say enough good things about Sammy's Hotel, in fact. The staff is marvelous. From day one, we were treated as though we were royalty and given all kinds of extras. We'd booked a full month in North Cyprus, so upon check-in, they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, even though we'd only paid for a regular room. Sammy's 'does what it says on the tin.' Fancy it is not, pretentious it is not. It has all you need, it is good value and in a quiet area and a short walk from the centre.Bathrooms could be better, but that's being a bit picky.Breakfast was good for a hotel of this class. My family and I went to Sammy's Hotel for three nights whilst visiting family in Cyprus. We found the place to be very reasonably priced and comfortably (if not spectacularly) provisioned. My family of four stayed in a hotel on the Greek side of the island for three nights. We wanted to make a surprise visit to extended family members, so we went over to the Turkish side for another three nights.Our rooms were a nice size and we were glad of the air conditioning and the fridge. Sammy's is a small, family-run hotel that has a lot of loyal guests who return year after year, which can make newbies like us feel like we've just walked into a club we're not a member of... yet!
