The Club Simena Hotel is a wonderful hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here recently, even though it's a good distance from Kyrenia (about 15 minutes). There's a smaller town a little closer and you can take the bus to and from the hotel into town but to be honest, there's not a lot to do, although there are a few restaurants and internet cafes. There are quite a few historical sites in Kyrenia and more to do, but you'll need to rent a car or take a taxi. The hotel itself is quiet and relaxing... more

I stayed recently at Simena,as I had gone to Cyprus to visit an old friend.I had thought Id maybe feel uncomfortable staying alone, yet I was made so welcome. The place was really pretty, all the rooms set around the pools with lovely flower borders. The room was simple, very clean, with fresh towels and bathroom cleaned daily.A beautiful natural cove with lovely cafe, called Sardunya,is twenty minutes walk, down a quiet road. The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. We booked two days before travelling, having never been to North Cyprus before. On arrival at Club Simena, we were pleasantly surprised, the accommodation is large and clean, the beds comfortable, set around the two large swimming pools, one with three large slides to keep the children busy. It is in a peaceful, quiet area, the only noise really being the road outside, which unless you live in a totally rural location at home, most people are used to a bit of road noise, but you don't notice this... more

This was my second stay at the Club Simena Hotel in North Cyprus and I can honestly say it was just as good the second time as it was the first time. This time, I came with a large group and the staff were just as welcoming to our group as they were when I came with only one other person. The entire hotel staff is very attentive and helpful in every possible way.As far as the hotel itself, it's not one of the finer hotels in Northern Cyprus, but it is warm and welcoming and I prefer the atmosphere... more

A few friends and I were looking for a place to 'get away from it all' for a few days and decided to try out the Club Simena Hotel in Northern Cyprus. Because we were on a pretty strict budget, we needed inexpensive, but naturally we were hoping for clean and comfortable as well. The Club Simena Hotel was everything we could have asked for and more! Here's why we liked it so much:Our bungalows were spacious, the furnishings were tasteful, if simple, and the décor was bright and cheerful. On top... more

Some of my girly friends and I decided to treat ourselves after Christmas to beat the January blues. We didn't have a very large budget and were after peace and relaxation. The Club Simena hotel offered all of this and more!We were delighted to be greeted in such a friendly manner by the obliging staff. In fact, we arrived near on midnight but felt very welcome to order an arrival cocktail or two! The bungalows were spacious and impeccably clean. They were relatively basic but bright and well decorated.... more

Went to Club Simena for a christmas break with a difference. There was a large group of us, mostly over 50 but a few younger memebers of the group too, so i think this reviews is well balanced. This place was a bıt far out but still pretty nicely located. There are cafes and restaurants locally if youre looking for somewhere to eat. We visited Kyrenıa which took about 20 minutes to get to by the bus. The shops were decent here and it was quite busy shoppıng. The one thing id say is... more

Ive just returned from the Club Simena in North Cyprus and thought id get this review up as soon as i could so others can really see what i thought about it! I'll keep it really to the point as mention some of the important bits you should know when deciding if this is the place for you to spend your hard earned money! The Dolmus bus stops right outside the hotel which is nice and convenient, however head over to Kyrenia is shopping is your thing, theres much more to do and see! Some decent shopping... more

My wife booked a short relaxing break which fell through at the last minute so we grabbed what we could in North Cyprus as we'd visited before and seemed to like it! The hotel we got was the Club Simena Hotel in Kyrenia. Here's what we really though of our 2 week trip and the hotel itself. Hopefully it will help others to make up their minds before booking.Firstly I have to point out that the brochure and online advertises a gynasium, a sauna and pool tables. During the forst few days here we found... more

Club Simena is located around fifteen minutes away from the town centre of Kyrenia. This distance is relatively unimportant because there are buses and taxis to take you from outside the hotel to whatever destination you're heading to. Because the hotel is a little bit off the beaten track, Club Simena is fairly quiet and removed from the noise of the town centre. The hotel is nicely decorated and appeared to be very clean- the rooms were spotless. It's always nice to arrive and find a clean room... more

I'm writing this review while I'm here because it's so great, seriously its such a great place we're in love with it! It doesn't matter that it's out of the way because there are plenty restaurants, Internet cafes and barbers and so on in the area. It's a convenient location with the Dolmus bus stop directly outside the hotel and there are first class shops at Kyrenia, which is just fifteen minutes away which isnt bad at all. It's extremely quiet and relaxing in daytime but the British ex-pat population... more

I have to admit that I wouldn't normally bother with writing reviews of the places and hotels I stay at, but this time as it was a recommendation for me to come here, I thought I'd spend a few minutes noting down my thoughts on the whole experience for others to read and, hopefully, find useful when looking at tripping out to North Cyprus. My fiancee and I had decided to spend a one week trip away with another couple, university friends of ours and just by chance I read a review of hotels in Kyrenia.... more

My wife and I stayed at the Club Simena with another couple and we were both very impressed, particularly with hotel's value for money. We definitely got more for our money than expected! Although the hotel had many facilities such as: a gym; spa; minigolf; botanical gardens, we still found that if we wanted to relax, we were not disturbed by anything happening around us. The hotel and its grounds was very peaceful with stunning scenery- particularly the mountains. We spent one day touring the surrounding... more

We arrived late in the evening and were the last coach drop to be dropped off at our hotel. The hotel we'd chosen, Club Simena, looked great from the outside and we were understandably excited, but unfortunately there was an uneven path to the door which caused me a hazard as I suffer with a bad back. It was quite a shock when we first took a look at the room which was very basic indeed. There was very little in the way of furniture and a bulb hanging from the ceiling without a lamp shade, which... more

For those of you looking for a quieter atmosphere during your stay in Northern Cyprus, the Club Simena Hotel is not to be overlooked. Whilst still only fifteen minutes away from the bustling city centre of Kyrenia, our hotel was excellent, with friendly service that allowed us to sample some of the famous Cypriot hospitality. The hotel is located well for anyone wanting to visit local historical monuments such as the Castle of Girne (a castle which has survived since the middle ages, and dates back... more

We visited to the Hotel Club Simena Holiday Village for a spring break, and although the hotel is really set up for summer visitors, we had a nice time. The whole complex centres around the outdoor swimming pool, which I did not want to swim in, but there was plenty of warm sun to sit out in for most of the day. The hotel insisted on playing music all day by the pool, which was distracting and not needed. The gardens were nicely kept and nice to sit in, and you did not hear any road noise either.... more
