My husband and I decided to take an impromptu trip to North Cyprus as a last minute treat before I returned back to work in September. We were looking for peace and quiet and a stay away from the hustle and bustle of the package holiday. When we found the Bella View, we thought that it would be perfect. The hotel certainly didn't disappoint. We were actually pleased that the hotel was a distance away from the nearest towns as it meant that we were guaranteed peace and quiet. I know that some other... more
We stayed at the Bella View Hotel recently in Northern Cyprus and I really loved it. I found it to be very peaceful and relaxing and it's located in a really beautiful spot. The hotel staff are great. They were very helpful and even arranged a rental car for us during our stay. We loved the breakfasts in the hotel dining room. They serve a variety of breakfast styles to suit everyone's taste, from local fare to traditional English breakfasts. The only thing we felt was lacking was the fresh... more
The Bella View Hotel was recommended to us by some friends who often stay in Northern Cyprus with us, but had gone alone last year because of scheduling clashes. We booked almost straight away on the back of their glowing report, and headed out there a couple of short months later. Our first impression of the Bella View was as good as we'd hoped. It is, although small, an extremely aesthetically pleasing hotel which offers great views of the surrounding areas. Also, in return for a little extra travelling... more
The Bella View Hotel is a very nice, quiet place to stay. The Hotel is very near Bellapais Abbey, and a short drive from the town. The staff were very welcoming and very eager to help us where possible. The food was varied (more often than not there are local dishes and ones of vaguely British origin) and very nicely prepared, although it was a little more expensive to eat at the hotel than it was to eat out at a restaurant. The pool area was peaceful and never got over crowded- this was nice as... more
This location is lovely and quiet and we loved it here. All the staff welcomed us and helped us. There is a choice of a local breakfast or an English one, both large and tasty, and it was great to digest by the pool. The only thing I missed was fresh orange juice. It was peaceful at the pool area and they don't cram the sun beds. It's a short walk up the hill from Bellapais Abbey to reach the hotel and we were impressed. As well as the scenery, there are some wonderful restaurants and bars, and there's... more
We enjoyed lots of nice touches at the Bella View Hotel, and enjoyed some of its idiosyncrasies as well! The hotel is officially a boutique hotel, which I guess allows it to be both extremely comfortable and quirky at the same time...The hotel is halfway between Kyrenia and Bellapais, which in effect means its a long walk downhill or a steep climb uphill to get anywhere. Reception will happily order you a taxi, but don't rely on local buses - there arn't any! We hired a car for the whole holiday... more
We found the Bella View Hotel to be a rather odd mix of country house chic inside and Mediterranean holiday suntrap outside! The room corridor was dark wood and soft carpets, the foyer was swagged and stuffed with objects and paintings. Our room was somewhat overfurnished, so it was a bit oppressive without the air con on, especially as we did not have a balcony. Outside, the hotel has modern lines with a big terrace around a small pool, which looks a bit Spartan but actually means you don't have... more
