We have just come back from a very brief 4-day stay in Northern Cyprus. We chanced upon the Citrus Tree Gardens and were wonderfully surprised. The staff were very friendly. The mini villas were kept beautifully clean. The first night we ate in the restaurant and had a beautifully cooked steak. My husband and I visited north cyprus and stayed at Citrus Tree Gardens recently and I was very disappointed. We'd booked this vacation through a travel agency, who recommended it, making it doubly disappointing, as naturally I expected them to recommend a nicer place. When we saw the inside of our mini-villa, I was appalled at the shabbiness of it. The rugs and furniture were dingy and dirty and everything badly needed a good steam cleaning. My recent stay at Citrus Tree Gardens wasn't the first time I'd stayed here. My husband and I visited this wonderful hotel a year or so ago. During our previous visit to North Cyprius, I was enthralled and believed this to be a lovely place. I still think it's lovely; however this time I noticed the place could use a good cleaning. This was our second stay at Citrus Tree Gardens. The first time we visited Northern Cyprus we stayed here, we thought the hotel was lovely and everything was quite nice. This time, however, it seemed that the place had gone downhill. I noticed quite a bit of what appeared to be dog hair on the floors and stairs and everything was very dusty. Have just returned from a fantastic short break at the Citrus Tree Gardens hotel in Kyrenai. The staff were all so so helpful and pleasant that is was really enjoyable from the moment we arrived the hotel. We have been to Citrus Tree Gardens a few times now and we've just got back from our latest trip. The reason we keep coming back here is because it's a lovely family owned hotel and the staff could not be friendlier. They help out all the guests, not just us. If there is any kind of problem, it's quickly sorted out by Mustafa or a staff member. Having been to many hotels in many countries, we know this is one of the best ones. Got a warm welcome on arrival even though it was 10.30 at night and we were offered some food and a drink which was no trouble .The next day the scenery only made this place even better i knew from day one this was going to be a great holiday and was proved right with the next 13.The accomodation was spotlessly clean the gardens immaculate and the staff friendly,helpful the list is endless.Good basic breakfast but you can order a cooked one for a small cost,car hire is on site and the supermarket... more
As im now retired my friend and I decided we'd take a relaxing trip to Kyrenia for a few days before the UK holiday season really picks up and it all gets a bit busy for our liking. We have just gotten home after 12 days at the Citrus Tree Gardens and have nothing but praise for the place. It was our first visit to N Cyprus and the delightful CTG made it a lovely experience. Nothing was too much effort when it came to making our stay as comfortable as possible, made very evident when we arrived shortly before midnight, obviously tired, and straight after check-in were offered something to eat and drink even though the food service stopped at 21:30.
