I wouldn't normal categorise myself as a family holiday type of person, but I had an invite to take a short trip with my friend and her children as her partner had to pull out at very late notice and she didn't want to disappoint the children. I don't mind saying that having known nothing about the hotel, I was anxious as to what sort of place it would be. I've just come back after spending a fornight in the Highlife Hotel. The manager, Beha and his family who run the hotel are all extremely nice people and did everything they could to improve our stay.The view from the terrace where diners are seated are wonderful. The pool area is very clean and poolside accessories such as loungers are plentiful and available for free.Meals are reasonably good, but I didn't like paying £3.00 extra for English breakfast. I am not usually a "Holiday Village" type of person, but I went with my sister and her family (2 kids under 5, and 1 long-suffering partner), which was an experience in itself! So I guess we were looking for two different types of holidays, and the High Life actually managed to make us all happy for most of the time!Hotel room was nice if nothing special, clean and everything worked.
