My wife and I stayed at Mountain View for a week, which we booked via gonorthcyprus.com. We'd never visited the region before but the staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay to the fullest. We had a nice bungalow that was clean and well maintained and the pool area is fabulous. The hotel's a short walk from the nearest supermarket which is handy but we rented a car to get around anyway. Great buffet breakfast every morning with plenty... more

I recently stayed at Mountain View with my wife and our son who is two. Never been to this part of Cyprus before but we all had a great time. We found a deal on the gonorthcyprus website and were impressed with the reviews so booked in. We were given a warm welcome by the staff and had a very pleasant bungalow that was clean and well maintained. The staff were efficient throughout our stay, there's a real family feel and the atmosphere is laid back. Great pool area with children's bit attached,... more

My wife and I booked a short break at Mountain View through gonorthcyprus, having read the good reviews left by others. I'm pleased to say that we weren't disappointed - the hotel was clean and well-kept and the staff greeted us politely and in a friendly way. We had a big room with a balcony and all the modcons, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, toiletries etc. The bed was comfortable and the location is peaceful, so we slept well. Nice pool area outside and the breakfast was good too,... more

We arranged an out of season break through GoNorthCyprus.com and Gary in sales got us a very good deal. We were looking for somewhere fair to middling for a good price and we certainly found it in Mountain View. Our room was fairly standard but comfortable and we had a great pool view. The night receptionist was a very nice guy, nothing too much trouble and he made us feel welcome. The cleaning lady was also lovely too and came every day to ensure our room was kept tidy. The hotel was quiet and... more

We've just returned from our lovely stay at Mountain View, booked through GoNorthCyprus as we always do. For the past four years we've explored the area, staying at different hotels every time. We always book with the same company because they are very professional, genuine and include transfers in the price. Mountain View was new to us but came highly recommended by friends, so we decided to stay there this year. It is the perfect place to relax, very pleasant grounds, laidback atmosphere, nice... more

This is the third time we've been to Mountain View so it's about time we left a review! We travel every January year after year because it really is such a warm and welcoming place. We first found the hotel a few years ago on GoNorthCyprus.com and rebook with the company a lot because the prices and service are unbeatable. Where to start, Mountain View is surrounded by mountains - you might be able to tell from the name, so the views are wonderful. We always have a room with a balcony overlooking... more

As soon as I saw the pictures of the scenery on the GoNorthCyprus website, I had to book a break at the Mountain View Hotel. We got a great deal and Mandy in bookings made us feel completely at ease, arranging our transfers too so we had one less thing to worry about. We were ideally after a relaxed getaway in beautiful surroundings and the hotel did not disappoint. The peaks are just outside the hotel and the atmosphere is one of tranquillity. We were met by welcoming staff and our accommodation... more

The clue is in the name- the Mountain View Hotel, Kyrenia had the most incredible views of the stunning five finger mountains in North Cyprus. I booked our family holiday off season through GoNorthCyprus.com. Although I didn't specify that we'd like a mountain view, the booking agent, Gary, recommended the Mountain View Hotel as it's a family run business and very good value for money. The fact that when we got there, we had such an amazing view was literally an added bonus! We can definitely say... more

I got a fantastic half board deal through GoNorthCyprus.com, staying at the Mountain View Hotel. I spoke to Gary, one of the agents, who gave me some great advice about where to stay based on my family's needs. The Mountain View Hotel was a good choice for us because it is set aside from the hustle and bustle of Kyrenia and has gorgeous views. I wouldn't say it was the perfect place for people with small children. Our room at the Mountain View was immaculately clean and well presented and the mountain... more

Everybody is writes that stuff is friendly there. But really I became tired of their fake smiles in Mountain View. It's so much seen, i don't understand how other guests cannot understand all false of this place. I remember that women which is smiling 24h to you and asking How are you? But when you say this is problem that is wrong, she says "Ohh, WOOW, Ahhh, Ouuu, ok i'll try to fix it". And that's all! Nothing changes. And all other stuff so lazy, they just don't lazy to speak mean-less things,... more

The hotel has a general run down appearance. The lift does not work and we are told that it has not worked for four months. It is advetised that there is WiFi but for the 8 days that we were there it was not working and we had to stand at the recption counter and plug into their computer. On two days our room was not serviced and on a thrid day we had to complain and then someone came and cleaned it. Breakfast started OK but less and less was offered the longer we stayed. The staff were very... more

I stayed at Mountain View Hotel recently for the first time and I'm glad we did. I was quite impressed with this hotel. My boyfriend and I were visiting North Cyprus for 10 days, so since we were staying such a long time, it was important that we have a great hotel. The Mountain View did not disappoint us! In fact, from the moment we arrived, I was made to feel like royalty. The staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze. In short order, we were in our room. And speaking of our room, I was... more

Having just returned from a fantastic ten day stay in Kyrenia, staying at the Mountain View Hotel I thought I'd get on here and let others know what a gem this place is if you're looking to relax, unwind and simply escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. To be honest I was firstly very dubious about booking up here, as I'm one of those people who really likes to be away from the crowds and enjoy peace and quiet. Well what a surprise this place was! It was just what we were after, out... more

Myself and my family have been going to the Mountain View for many years, and its the most Special place I have ever been to. I have introduced so many people to this beautiful hotel, and everybody have absolutely loved it. The friendly staff, make you feel like you are at home, with the sun to make it all fabulous. I had a party there last September, and all my family came out. Sue and Serdhar and all their staff made the night so special. Myself and my family will never forget it. I would recommend... more

I've just come back from my second holiday to Kyrenia, staying at the Mountain View and couldn't believe how quickly the time flew, I want to be back there now! The best thing about this hotel, aside from its value for money is the hospitality the friendly, family orientated staff give to every guest that walks through the door. Even though we arrived in the middle of the night, they were there as soon as we walked in, to greet us with pre-ordered sandwiches and refreshments. The food at the Mountain... more

I stayed there a few days, and it began to feel like home... the staff, the family, their treatment was warming and welcoming, the environment was relaxing and friendly. I particularly liked the reception, it had this feeling similar to the kind of living room i'm used to back at home, lol. I didn't want to leave when i had to, lol. The owners were very friendly too, and nice. Treated me like i was a VIP or something, lol. No really, jokes apart... the service was nice.Yea, i know it's not 5star... more

the staff are really warm and extra friendly, a family giving you the feeling of home even when you're away from home. services are nice and prompt and in-house car hire. it's kinda like all you'd need once on a holiday. activities, such as Cyprus jeep safari or paragliding all makes the holiday near perfect in north Cyprus. thanks to Mountain View... it's all possible! i'd recommend it for anyone looking for a good holiday in Northern Cyprus.... more

We were recommended to Mountain View by somebody who stays frequently when in cyprus on business. Having stayed in a 4 star in May we thought we would try this hotel. We enjoyed it as it was very friendly and the staff are very helpful. We requested a bungalow as we felt it would be quieter then a hotel room.Although nice they could do with a bit updating. Having looked at a 2 bedroom I would certainly recommend them as they are almost brand new.The pool is lovely as are the terraces and I found... more

I have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at the Mountain View Hotel. Without doubt I have to praise the staff and owners for ensuring that our stay went as smoothly as we hoped. The food(we stayed half board), was of great portions and good quality. One thing that we picked up on was the presentation of each meal - it was of a 4/5 star quality. The grounds are beautifully kept and the swimming pool was clean with a great atmosphere. Special mention must go to Gulam 'George' for his excellent... more

My boyfriend and I just got back from a brilliant week at this hotel. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and the family who own the hotel. We stayed in a one bed bungalow which was spotlessly clean and just what we wanted. The rooms are 3 star and when we asked for extra pillows it was no problem at all and they were brought up to the room within the hour of us asking. George and Marcus - the two barmen are brilliant, so friendly and chatty and happy to get... more

Read lots of reviews recently that have praised this hotel highly, but on my holiday I struggled to find much to write home about. The hotel doesn't look very welcoming to start with, a blocky frontage. Admittedly the view from the pool area of the mountains is nicer, but you have to be inside the hotel to see it. Pool itself is rather dull and feels barren, despite the 'feature' columns along the side that look a bit daft. Pool bar is OK but not inspiring. With loads of palm trees and grass, but... more

We found the staff so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, the food in the restaurant was ok, breakfast a bit basic. The pool bar food was good and always presented with a smile. The music round the pool was good. Hotel rooms were clean but very bright. They could do with black out curtains so to darken the rooms a bit, especially for a siesta when it is very hot. Overall a pleasant break... more

Our family visited Kyrenia during the Christmas season. The hotel is just outside of Kyrenia. It was a bit isolated from things to do. On one side of the hotel were the mountains and the beach on the other. The views were gorgeous. Our family opted for their bungalow, with two rooms. It was not a five star hotel. The rooms were out of fashion and mediocre. The breakfast was simple, but then for our budget the hotel fit our needs perfectly. You will need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner,... more

I've been retired for five years, and enjoy travelling. I was told Kyrenia is a beautiful place to visit. I was in North Cyprus for a week, but the time seemed to fly by. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff was warm and kind. For a lonely guy it was nice to feel at home during my trip. The staff cleaned my room each day, cleaning it well. The hotel is not a five star location, but 3 solid stars. The rooms are a little rundown, but for the cost you can't beat it. I've some food... more

Went to this hotel with my gfriend for a week in December. We picked this hotel cos it was quite cheap but had some good reviews on the internet, so we thought we would give it a try. The waterfall when you walk in is really cool, and the pool was all lit up so it looks pretty impressive for a three star hotel. There was TV in the room and in the bar, so we hung out there a few nights, but we also went into the local town. Not much nightlife when we were there, but there was a good restaurant... more

What could I possibly say about this lovely hotel that would do it justice? My husband and I had an absolutely lovely time there. We had never been to Cyprus before and I have to say it is a truly beautiful part of the world. Even in November the weather was very mild and a much needed bit of sunshine after the British cold. This trip was a bit of a last minute holiday, after quite a stressful year. The hotel is only supposed to be a three star, but we both thought it deserves more. The rooms... more
