We stayed at the Almond Holiday Village during a recent visit to North Cyprus and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so we came back 2 months later for our second trip here with workl. We were able to get our room booked, private transfers from Larnaca, car rental, and late check-out in one easy step via email directly through the hotel, which made it extremely easy. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the service is excellent. Everyone is polite and helpful and the staff obviously take a great deal... more

We initially made the decision to book a holiday at the Almond Holiday Village because it offered such a professional and straightforward direct booking service. We don't usually like leaving things in the hands of travel agents, and hotels that we've visited in the past have had poor booking services and were relatively unhelpful when we needed further information or some help making reservations. Not so at the Almond Holiday Village- whenever we called to confirm various bits of information or... more

I took my family to stay at the Almond Holiday Village in early December this year. I had been to Kyrenia before, but it was many years ago and I wasn't sure where to stay. After some digging around I discovered that the Almond Village was the most consistently well-reviewed complex in the region and decided to give it a go.We stayed in the hotel (bed and breakfast) for just over a week. On our arrival we managed to get a look at the pool which was excellently maintained and easily large enough... more

We arrived at The Almond Holiday Village and were amazed at the friendliness, cleanliness, service and surroundings of the place. Nothing was left to chance. The family were a joy and nothing was too much trouble for them to provide. Car hire and details of trips out were given. Even a laptop was provided as we had a family crisis back home. We would certainly consider returning! We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis, but did have evening meals on some occasions. We were more than... more

Ive been to the Almond Holiday Village Hotel twice before as I have friends who love in North Cyprus and try toget out and visit them a few times each year. I first found the Almond Holiday Village by chance when looking for a nice place to stay over the summer holidays a while back, since then Id be reluctant to book up at anywhere else! This time round both my elderly parents came and my partner too and so we booked 2 rooms near to one another.Once again the service was outstanding from the moment... more

I took my spouse to the Almond Holiday Village on a much-needed Summer break. We had an excellent stay. By the time we checked in the staff had equipped our room with all the necessary creature comforts in order to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay and were very friendly (and continued to be so throughout our stay). We found the food served at the hotel to be excellent, and ate there numerous times because we were so impressed. Breakfast in particular featured a really wide variety... more

My wife and I came to the Almond Holiday Village in the beginning of June for our annual holiday and we had a fabulous time. We came out of hours to find a welcome pack waiting for us with everything we needed to make a cup of tea or coffee, things we wouldn't have been able to get otherwise. My request for a hairdryer and pool towels, which I'd written about previously, had been processed and they were ready for us, in our room. We have been coming to northern Cyprus for a long time, trying out... more

I travelled on my own and was welcomed though it was late at nigt when I arriveed, the Family who run the hotel are a dream team, nothing was too much trouble, I liked the food it was delicious I did a couple of boat trips which where good value for money but spent most of my time with my nose in a book resting and enjoying the company of other people. I did not feel out of place being there on my own. I will be going back again... more

We came here on half board in the summer. As we had arrived late and out of hours, we asked for something to eat and they gave us a snack with no problem. Our bed was extremely comfortable. I usually struggle to get a good night's sleep in a hotel but not this time. Also, the room could not have been cleaner. We don't watch much TV but the English language channel on the television in our room was very good.No one hurried us at mealtimes and the breakfast was really good, as were all the meals.... more

The best thing about the Almond Holiday Village was the welcoming way in which its family orientated staff look after your every need; nothing was too much trouble. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and hospitable front-of-house staff who asked us about our journey and welcomed our children as much as they did us. During our stay, if we asked for anything, we were sure that they would do their utmost to cater to our needs. For example, if we preferred to eat something that wasn't advertised... more

We stayed at the Almond in July last year, The hotel is great and so are the family that run it. I can only back up all the good things said about the hotel we loved it and have booked to go again in july this year with another couple we meet there last year.So if you would like to stay in a small family run hotel with a big pool, beautifully clean rooms and grounds, and a hotel that serves very good food then look no further.... more

November is certainly the time to be in North Cyprus. The water is warm, the sun shining, and enough guests to keep a single man happy. I was not sure the Almond Holiday Village would be the right place for me. When I first arrived there were many families, but there were still enough single people around to strike up a conversation and have a little fun. The hotel was not noisy and the nightlife was a little disappointing. Luckily travelling into the village gave me a place to listen to music,... more

Desperate for a sunshine break that wouldn't bust our budget, my boyfriend and I chose North Cyprus for the exchange rate (Turkish lira, not Euro) and then booked the Almond Village because of its good reviews. We saved more cash by flying into south Cyprus with a budget airline, and the Almond arranged for a transfer to take us over the border, which was very easy and no hassle at all.The family owners welcomed us even though we arrived very late in the season (last week November). Our one bedroom... more

My husband and I visited the Almond Holiday Village for our anniversary holiday. It was just what we needed, and I am glad we chose this resort instead of one of the big hotels in another area. The owners really went out of their way to be welcoming, which is a big change from most hotel resorts that we have been to. No cheesy reps! The hotel is family run which made us feel like we were staying at a friend's place instead of a hotel, and it would make me feel like our kids were safer if we... more

I cannot fault the hotel for their staff nor their clean rooms; however their location was not what I expected. They are far from the town, which requires a taxi ride. I had hoped for a better location out of my North Cyprus hotel, especially from reading reviews online. The hotel itself supplied excellent service. The owners were friendly, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.I recommend the hotel if sunbathing at the pool or beach is your desire. If you want nightlife, attractions, or... more

North Cyprus - what a wonderful place to spend half term! The staff at the Almond Holiday village welcomed all our family, ages 3 to 11 plus frazzled parents, and made us feel right at home. With temperatures in the mids 20s, the kids could splash in the pools to their heart's content, and we could just lie back and remind ourselves what warm sunshine felt like! Our 2 bed bungalow was a bit of a squeeze with the little one in with us, but we did have plenty of living space and a kitchen that was... more

We booked the Almond Village because I like to have everything on site for my summer holiday, and the Almond delivered all that and more. We had a nice little villa (one bedroom upstairs) and it was nice and cool in the summer heat. I spent most of my time either just sitting on my villa terrace in the shade or roasting myself by the side of the pools. Thank goodness too for the bar - it was really hot and you needed to have a cool drink just to stop drying out. Everywhere was kept clean and tidy,... more

This hotel is ideal for anyone with a young family. They have a huge pool, and a shallow children's pool which is great for small children. The layout makes it easy to keep an eye on them too and there was always an area of shade near the pool if one of my kids got too hot. We went in June, so it was really busy with other families. It didn't feel too crowded though, and I got a sunbed by the pool every day which is unheard of. The owners are absolutely great, and their restaurant is tops. ... more
