This was our third trip to Alkan Holiday Village. The simple beauty, tranquillity always bring us back here, and the value for money in second to none. As usual we booked our holiday through gonorthcyprus.com, they are experts on this area and recommend them to anyone, whether it's your first or fiftieth trip! Alkan runs the village with his family they really go out of their way to ensure guests have the best time ever in their peaceful haven. Until you set foot out of the door you would never... more

We passed this hotel, which we had already booked, on our way to another centre, and feared the worst. It's in an area which is being developed for ex-pat residences, is on a main road, and the immediate beach is in need of total redevelopment, but don't be put off, we would definitely go back. We discovered in TR Cyprus that accommodation at a good centre is preferable to being right on a glorious beach, and that good air conditioning, a freedom from mosquitoes, and a fridge are essentials, and... more

Hi guys, we're back again and this time we've been staying at the Alkan Holiday village (Kyrenia). We absolutely adore Kyrenia as a location and cant help but be drawn back time and time again to its relaxing and peaceful characteristics. Once again, a big thanks to Gary from Gonorthcyprus who actually talked us into trying somewhere different from our normal hotel. His recommendations based on our requirements was the Alkan Holiday village so we thought 'why not?' and gave it a shot. At almost... more

I've just come back from my second ever stay at the Alkan Holiday Village and it totalled reaffirmed why I chose to return! It is an absolute gem of a hotel! I've stayed there previously with my husband but took one of my girlfriends there to cheer her up after she'd been having a difficult time. We booked the stay through go North Cyprus and Mandy made it so easy for us. I recommended the Alkan to my friend because of how quiet and peaceful it was and it was exactly the same this time. It's set... more

The Alkan hotel was a completely new experience for us. We visit Northern Cyprus very regularly (about 4 times per year) and have both family and friends who live out there. Last trip went a little pear shaped with a hotel booking so we found a booking company to do it for us this time round. Recommended online was one called gonorthcyprus.com holiday bookings, so we gave them a call. The lady we spoke to was very helpful and knew a lot about the hotels in the area. We gave her our requirements... more

I went with my husband last year to visit some friends and family in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus. Choosing a hotel there would have involved a bit of guesswork as there are so many to pick from, so we used Go North Cyprus Holidays which I found after a google search. They pointed us in the direction of the Alkan Hotel.Immediately we were taken by the hotel's location (very close to the beach) which has always been a major priority for us when choosing accommodation. This meant we had to compromise... more

This is the first time I have stayed at the Alkan Hotel, and I was very impressed with it. I went with my husband to visit some of his relatives in Northern Cyprus. The hotel was small and sophisticated; it is not located in a big city which is what we preferred. It is not the normal hotel but designed in the style of small apartments. The apartment that we had was large and spacious with our own kitchen, the bedroom was upstairs, and we had a nice view as well a veranda. We had a fantastic view... more

In 2005 we, as a family with teenagers, stopped here for a drink on an eastwardly exploration drive. Since then I have been trying to find the hotel again, with a view to staying there. Just by chance in spring 2011, I found what I thought was the place and emailed a few question off to see if I was right. I was, and my husband and I returned in the summer as we now enjoy holidays alone again. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. We chose to eat in at the hotel most nights as we have been... more

My wife and I stated at the Alkan Holiday Village in Esentepe for our first wedding anniversary; We booked with Go North Cyprus Holiday company and found them very reliable and helpful throughout. they have a reservation lady called sue who really helped us get this trip right on the money. We went to Northern Cyprus in the middle of July and were very impressed with the hotel. We are not really city people, and we wanted to stay somewhere that was outside the city, but not too far away. We had... more

We stayed here recently and I was very disappointed in the service as well as the amenities. Our room was sub-standard, without the usual niceties of most hotels. We noticed there was no coffee maker, so inquired at the front desk, only to be told they didn't have one available for our room. We had to order room service in order to get coffee in our room! Then we had to wait what seemed to me a much longer time than necessary before it was delivered. We were equally disappointed in the service... more

We just returned from spending a week at the Alkan Holiday Village in North Cyprus and here's what we thought. Since this was our first trip to this area, I can't compare this hotel to others, but I can say that it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. The Alkan Holiday Village is a good distance outside of town, so if you are looking for entertainment that is within walking distance, this probably isn't ideal for you. However, if like us, you are looking for peace and quiet and a restful... more

My husband and I stayed at the Alkan Hotel for about a week when we went to North Cyprus to visit friends. We loved the place! It was small and out of the way, which we prefer, and was designed in apartment style bungalows, rather than motel rooms. Ours was very spacious and included a separate kitchen, veranda and upstairs bedroom with screened windows that we kept open at night so we could enjoy the sound of the surf. The hotel is located across the street from the ocean, within viewing distance... more

My wife and I decided it was time for a short break so we chose to visit the Alkan hotel in Esentepe as my other half loves Cyprus. The Alkan Holiday Village was about half an hour ride from the Airport which wasnt too bad at all. Being a golf fan myself I was very happy to find that a new course had been built close by too. Our accommodation was quite comfortable and had air conditioning, a TV, fridge, mini bar, telephone and all the normal bits you'd expect of a hotel. The Hotel surroundings were... more

We stayed twice at the Alkan Holiday Village while our Esentepe apartment was being finished. For us the location was ideal because it was just a 5 min drive to our new development, but it would be great for anyone on holiday too, especially golf fans. The Alkan is only a 10 min drive to the Korineum golf course, the only 18 hole course in North Cyprus. The Alkan's mini-villas are all self-catering, which suited us nicely as we could stock the fridge with what we needed and eat out if we wanted... more
