My wife and I stated at the Alkan Holiday Village in Esentepe for our first wedding anniversary; We booked with Go North Cyprus Holiday company and found them very reliable and helpful throughout. they have a reservation lady called sue who really helped us get this trip right on the money. We stayed here recently and I was very disappointed in the service as well as the amenities. Our room was sub-standard, without the usual niceties of most hotels. We noticed there was no coffee maker, so inquired at the front desk, only to be told they didn't have one available for our room. We had to order room service in order to get coffee in our room! We just returned from spending a week at the Alkan Holiday Village in North Cyprus and here's what we thought. Since this was our first trip to this area, I can't compare this hotel to others, but I can say that it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. The Alkan Holiday Village is a good distance outside of town, so if you are looking for entertainment that is within walking distance, this probably isn't ideal for you. My husband and I stayed at the Alkan Hotel for about a week when we went to North Cyprus to visit friends. We loved the place! It was small and out of the way, which we prefer, and was designed in apartment style bungalows, rather than motel rooms. My wife and I decided it was time for a short break so we chose to visit the Alkan hotel in Esentepe as my other half loves Cyprus. The Alkan Holiday Village was about half an hour ride from the Airport which wasnt too bad at all. Being a golf fan myself I was very happy to find that a new course had been built close by too. We stayed twice at the Alkan Holiday Village while our Esentepe apartment was being finished. For us the location was ideal because it was just a 5 min drive to our new development, but it would be great for anyone on holiday too, especially golf fans. The Alkan is only a 10 min drive to the Korineum golf course, the only 18 hole course in North Cyprus.
