Alkan Hotel Review - 9 of 15 Reviews

This is the first time I have stayed at the Alkan Hotel, and I was very impressed with it. I went with my husband to visit some of his relatives in Northern Cyprus. The hotel was small and sophisticated; it is not located in a big city which is what we preferred. It is not the normal hotel but designed in the style of small apartments. The apartment that we had was large and spacious with our own kitchen, the bedroom was upstairs, and we had a nice view as well a veranda.

We had a fantastic view of the ocean because it is located directly across the street from the hotel. I like to swim in the sea so the location is very convenient for me. What I liked most about being by the ocean is that I could hear the waves rushing at night; it was a very nice way to go to sleep.

The hotel has a nice swimming pool; it is clean and large with deckchairs around it for sunbathing. The food was also very good, and we had breakfast and dinner most days at the hotel restaurant. The staff were also extremely polite and friendly and made sure that we were always satisfied with the food and their customer service. Kyrenia is a north cyprus town approximately 30 minutes drive from the hotel. The journey gives you the opportunity to view beautiful scenery along the way.

There are a number of reasons why I like the Alkan Hotel first of all it is cheap and cheerful but you really get good value for money. I am not a fan of hotels that are full of loud tourists so this one is perfect, because it is small and out of town. If you are looking for a place where you can go and relax, then I would definitely recommend this hotel in North Cyprus.
