I haven't been back from my holiday for very long but had to share the experience we had at the British Hotel, Kyrenia. I honestly have never stayed somewhere with such stunning surroundings! This place had it all: beaches, mountains, historic buildings, cobbled streets. I am so glad that I have found a small haven which differs from so many typical sun holidays. This place certainly hasn't been attacked by tourism, yet.

Although the hotel is basic, the rooms have excellent facilities. The price was also very reasonable! We knew not to expect 5 star standards because it is a small hotel. However, we were very impressed with its cleanliness and the general keeping of the place. Although it didn't offer the facilities that some larger hotels have, what it did have was of a high quality. I have to commend the hotel owners for keeping the hotel understated because it blends into the tradition of its surroundings rather than sticking out like a sore thumb!

The food at the hotel was good,(particularly the breakfast) and we did eat there a lot. However, we did venture out on several occasions to sample the local food; most of the restaurants were close to the waterfront and offered some wonderful traditional cuisine.

If I had the sum the holiday up, I would say that I couldn't have wished for a better hotel in a better position. Despite loving a bit of indulgence, I really believe that sticking a huge luxury hotel in place of the British Hotel would spoil everything. This hotel was clean, well kept and very comfortable with the best surroundings imaginable.
