We have just come back from a great value holiday on the outskirts of Kyrenia. Booked a last minute sunshine holiday and it was one of the best holidays I ever had. Me and 3 girlfriends took off and stayed at the Oscar Resort which was just fantastic. The rooms were luxurious with plenty of space. It was right near the beach and the town of Kyrenia and we could walk to the harbour area in just a few minutes. The shopping was brilliant for cheap silver and copper jewelry, leather purses, clothes and strange 'hubba bubba' pipes. There were always plenty of cheap taxis to bring us back.

In the day there were several pools with sunbeds to laze around. We went to the Aquapark several times and loved riding the water chutes and the wave pool! Breakfast was fabulous and the staff spoke English – thank goodness. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always bringing us fresh towels and yummy cocktails from the pool bar.

At night Kyrenia was great with plenty of bars and a disco. We met plenty of people who moaned about their accommodation, so we were very pleased we were staying at the Oscar. The only downside of the place was the drinks were quite expensive, but we had a great time anyway.
