The Oasis Hotel Karpas is just that - an oasis of calm. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week, we found the hotel via the gonorthcyprus site and got a good deal. It looked remote and pretty basic, when we arrived we found we weren't wrong, but we felt that the price reflected this while still giving us a fantastic location to explore. The room was basic but clean and tidy and the food is reasonably priced and excellent. It's all very low key and more of a base for exploring than a place you'd spend hours whiling away your time. We went out every day and explored the ruins on the site, spent a lot of time by the water and hiked along the peninsula, which is very ruggedly appealing. The perfect place to get away from civilisation and detach from everything for a while.
