I booked a last minute stay with two other friends to Kyrenia, through Go North Cyprus Holidays. The Colony Hotel was recommended to us because we wanted to stay in the centre of Kyrenia. The hotel was in the perfect location, close to all amenities. It meant that when we went out at night, we never had a long walk or taxi journey to contend with and we were keen to get out and about in the day because it wasn't a hassle to get to where we wanted.

The hotel rooms were very clean and reasonably comfortable. I did note that the bedding was a little on the small side for the size of the bed but it didn't bother me because I was staying in a room on my own. The room had all the facilities I needed and I was glad to have a balcony which overlooked the street below because I love people watching!

The Colony Hotel was relatively lively, which was great for my friends and I. There was always something going on in the evening, as well as four hotel restaurants and a couple of bars to choose from. I could imagine that this might be a negative point for some people wanting a quiet night's sleep because the noise did go on into the night.

All three of us treated ourselves to a day at the hotel's spa. It was incredibly relaxing and the treatments were well priced for a hotel.

We found the hotel staff to be friendly and attentive and overall had a really good stay. We'd definitely stay at the Colony Hotel again if looking for a lively city break.
