Buyuk Anadolu Hotel Review - 2 of 9 Reviews

I've just come back from a 5 day stay in Kyrenia, North Cyprus. I stayed with a friend at the Buyuk Anadolu Hotel and found it to be quite average, although we were both really pleased with the size of our room, which is particularly important when staying with a friend, rather than a family member. We booked through Gonorthcyprus.com- a site we'd never heard of until scanning the internet for holidays. My friend and I found it to be a wonderful gem amongst a host of unhelpful sites. We were pleased with how easy it was to speak to one of their helpful booking agents.

The reason we booked to stay at the Buyuk Anadolu was simply the price and availability. Its position wasn't too bad, although it was a fair walk to the nearest town centre. Saying that, the hotel did have a taxi service but we didn't use it because luckily we enjoy walking! Having to walk a fair distance did allow us to take in the picturesque views of Kyrenia, which we can honestly say was one of the most beautiful holiday destinations we've been to.

The Buyuk Anadolu Hotel was comfortable enough, with friendly and helpful staff. We only stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which again was adequate with a good selection and it did seem that a lot of it was local produce, which is always nice to see.

It's hard to put my finger on what was missing about the hotel. It was everything that we needed but just nothing special which makes it hard to recommend. If people are looking for a cheap place to stay then it's fab, but if you see your accommodation as a key part of your holiday it might be best to look elsewhere.
