My husband whisked me away to the Rocks Hotel in Kyrenia for a relaxing break to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. Gonorthcyprus handled our booking and arranged our transfers too, which was a relief as we find it very stressful to do ourselves! We had a decently sized room, very clean and neutrally decorated with a well maintained bathroom. The staff we found to be helpful and polite and the pool area was amazing. There's also a big casino which you simply must visit, it's great fun. We... more

My husband and I booked a week away at the Rocks Hotel and have just returned feeling relaxed and refreshed. Our agent GoNorthCyprus.com got us a god price and arranged transfers, so we had nothing to worry about from the word go. The hotel is in such a great spot, with the harbour and shops within walking distance. The staff were warm and welcoming and our room was kept really clean for the duration of our stay. There was renovation work going on but this didn't cause any trouble and we still received... more

I travelled to Rocks Hotel with a group of friends and was immensely glad we chose this resort from GoNorthCyprus.com, as it had everything we could want. Being directly on the seafront meant we could go for a splash in the water every day but, to be honest, we spent most of our time lying by the pool and fountain. Its rattan daybeds are great for sunbathing or enjoying a sundowner at the end of the afternoon. The staff here were great, and we were treated really well. We even received a hot meal... more

Friends at work recommended GoNorthCyprus and my outline to them was brief, a 5star hotel on the Sea Front with Sea Views , The Rocks ticked all those boxes, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast choice plentiful, I had dinner in the restaurant twice and can thoroughly recommend it, but you are somewhat spoilt for choice for restaurants outside , just along from the Hotel is Niazis, I never managed to finish the Full Kebab , the food never stopped coming I will definately be back .... more

We decided to push the boat out this year with a luxury break and have just returned from a ten-day holiday at the Rocks Hotel. Mandy at GoNorthCyprus booked our break and got us a great deal because we travelled out of season. Despite this, the weather was much more pleasant than we left behind in Manchester! We were impressed by the friendly staff and enormous variety at breakfast, which was served until late so we were treated to a lie-in most days. Couldn't fault the evening meals either, which... more

Just returned from a ten day holiday at this delightful hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast - everything you could possibly ask for and more on the buffet - beautifully presented. Room comfortable, bathroom possibly a shade dated but more than compensated for by service and all other amenities. Excellent pool area and decking by the sea with attention to detail such as ensuring shade and plenty of sunbeds.Once again very attentive and helpful staff. We would... more

I agree with other reviews that the hotel needed updating especially the bedrooms. If you put the shower on too quickly it fell off the wall. I found the hotel noisy at night from people coming in at all hours from either the open air nightclub across the road (whose music went on until 4.00am in the morning) or the casino. We were inconvenienced in our first week by "Professional models" well this is what they called themselves, prancing around the hotel and the pool having their photographs... more

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Rocks Hotel. We were on a B&B board basis for 10 days. The breakfasts were lovely with something to suit all tastes. They don't have bacon but that didn't really matter. Their own strawberry jam is full of strawberries and delicious. The pool area is fantastic with an extensive range of very comfortable furniture but is not too busy. Being on the seafront it really is a wonderful location. Having read several reviews we decided to book the Rocks Hotel in Kyrenia for a weeks break in June 2014. This hotel is in a seafront location in the centre of Kyrenia. The hotel is rated as 5 star, and for the most part it is. The breakfast room is especially good to suit a wide selection of tastes. Dinner, if you are on half board, is buffet style in the same restaurant and again offers a good range of well prepared foods. This was our first holiday in North Cyprus and the Rocks Hotel proved to be tremendous value for money. Absolutely all of the facilities were top class and never have we known such helpful and pleasant staff in over 40 years of holidaying world-wide. This was our first holiday in North Cyprus and the Rocks Hotel proved to be an excellent choice of venue in Kyrenia. After a late evening arrival the room allocated was a little too noisy - above some kitchen plant(?) - but the following day the staff moved us without any fuss or bother into a top floor room in the Casino block, which was superb. We recently spent 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) at The Rocks Hotel. The hotel was very clean and the service excellent. Although it is a 5 star hotel I would say that furnishings and decoration are showing signs of wear and the hotel really needs to keep standards high in this respect. The rooms were very comfortable with good double glazing to reduce/eliminate noise from outside. I want to write a fair and balanced review of this North Cyprus hotel, but to be honest it's quite likely that my opinion has been coloured significantly by the poor service we received.
