My partner and I stayed at Pia Bella recently for a week's break. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff, who were friendly for the entire time we were there and couldn't do enough to help. We had a nice room that was comfortable and clean, the TV had some good channels too, which was a pleasant surprise. Nice garden setting outside with a large pool, although we didn't use it at this time of year! You can get into town in about 15 minutes if you don't mind the walk or take a taxi if you... more

We've just returned from our second break at Pia Bella, we booked through GoNorthCyrpus both times and both times we were treated exceptionally well. Our room was spacious and clean, overlooking the pools and gardens. Everything in the room was well maintained but the bathroom tap was a little leaky on arrival. The issue was resolved quickly, however. The staff are excellent, very friendly and they really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and valued. Food was good and varied enough for... more

This was our third visit to northern Cyprus and our second time staying at Pia Bella. We booked last year through gonorthcyprus and enjoyed it so much we decided to return in 2018. It's such a welcoming place, we arrived late yet were given something to eat and drink and made to feel right at home. Our room was a good size and comfortable, the pool area is pleasant and very clean and there's plenty of choice at breakfast. If you're around for the evening meal you won't be disappointed either. My wife and I stayed at Pia Bella recently after getting a good deal from our agent gonorthcyprus. We'd read the recent reviews and the hotel sounded ideal for us - nothing too fancy but not basic either. When we arrived the staff were lovely and friendly, in fact they were great for the duration of our stay and always helpful in giving advice and information. Our room was good and looked newly renovated, nice walk-in shower. Some work was still going on during our stay but you have to expect that... more

After reading the reviews we were excited to book a break at Pia Bella and found the best price through gonorthcyprus.com, which also included transfers. We were very relaxed when we arrived thanks to the transfers being arranged in advance but we were quite tired as it was late, so it was wonderful to be greeted with dinner and shown to our beautiful room, which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient, and there's a pleasantly calm atmosphere... more

We found Pia Bella on the GoNorthCyprus website and were impressed by the hotel's appearance and nice setting. We booked a week and were given a very good price that included hotel transfers, which was useful and took away some of the planning stress. When we arrived we found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The hotel grounds and pool areas were lovely and our room was very spacious and attractively decorated. My partner and I paid our first visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in July this year and were guests at the Pia Bella Hotel. We had no idea what to expect. We returned to Pia Bella for the third time this year on our annual spring break, we always book through Go North Cyprus and Mandy never fails to find us the best prices. The staff at the hotel are always friendly and pleasant, they know us by name now and couldn't be more attentive. As we were in Cyprus to catch up with old friends and haunts we were only using the hotel as a base so did not dine there, but the breakfasts and accommodation were excellent. I don't usually write reviews but having seen some bad ones of this hotel I felt I had to address the balance. We booked our fortnight at the Pia Bella in Kyrenia through our favourite travel site; gonorthcyprus.com. We love northern Cyprus and like to try different hotels and this company never fails to deliver (big thanks to Garry). After a very long night flight the 6 of us arrived at Pia Bella around 10.30am. The Pia Bella is an old-fashioned sort of hotel - and all the better for it. It's peaceful and quiet and the staff can't do enough for you. The rooms aren't the height in luxury - but, are clean and tidy - and who sits in their room anyway?!? Its excellent value for money and the milkshakes, Brandy Sours and Mojitos are to die for. We stayed over 2 weeks, but met some regular visitors (British) who were staying a month or more. The Pia Bella has a large and well maintained, clean garden and pool complex. It is reasonably central, with about a 20 minute walk to the Old Harbour area of Kyrenia, or a cheap taxi ride. Pia Bella is in an excellent location and has lovely grounds. It is kept very clean. Majority of staff are very friendly but some seem to have become complacent toward tourists. We booked online through www.gonorthcyprus.com and were assisted by Sue. The Pia Bella hotel was ideal for our holiday needs. Our room was a good size and had good views over pool and gardens. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis to give us freedom for the rest of the day. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The staff were brilliant and always helpful with any queries that occurred. The hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. It was nice to have comfy seating in the garden area. We made use of one of the two good sized swimming pools. Thank you Pia Bella.... more

Aged 45 and 65, we stayed for a week at the end of Nov/Dec using the hotel as a base for family to join us for 3 days. We upgraded to a suite which was lovely and roomy, and not hugely more expensive. Go North Cyprus organised for the children and grand children to have ajoining rooms pool view, which worked well. I suggest going for pool view rooms as the road side ones are noisy and get no sun. Hotel grounds are great and value for money good, large beers 4.5 TL. evening meal poor. Iit's quite... more

Our second visit to this hotel was as good as the first . . Fantastic staff and service . lovely grounds and a great base for exploring the island . Would recommend to anyone of any age . Can't wait for a return visit . My only complaint is that the swimming pool was on the cold side but its to be expected in November ! in July it was perfect . The cats are a constant source of entertainment and so good to see they are looked after so well . The hotel is within walking distance to some bars and... more

Booked into superior room but allocated standard on the road when we arrived. Sorted out after 2 days. Rooms clean and well maintained.Staff very friendly and eager to help. Pool excellent and poolside service very good.Breakfast was excellent and wideranging in types of food. Dinner was disappointing - nothing wrong with the food but just unadventurous. We have our own holiday apartment in south Cyprus and have visited kerynia before for one night in a run down hotel near the harbour. This time during our visit to the north we wanted better... And we got it! Pia Bella is about a 10 minute walk from the harbour. The hotel is very clean and the staff cannot do enough to help you. We hardly left the complex during the day because of it's beautiful grounds and two swimming pools. We stayed in the delux rooms which were lovely. We ate in the hotel... more

I go on holiday with my old friend often and we always feel very safe in North Cyprus, which is important for two women on their own this day in age. Out of all the countries we've visited, which has been quite a number! this destination is the best by far. The Pia Bella is very clean and we love the food here too. We can't fault the service and it's a kind of second home we really look forward to visiting. We've got to know the staff like friends after coming here for so many years and they are... more

I have stayed in this hotel a few times, mainly due to its location and good value foor money off season.Regarding the review from Englishman and the transfer, he blames the different in price in the transfer from Larnaca to Kyrenia to the euro. The truth is that if you pre-book a taxi it is far cheaper, whereas he turned up and was let down for whatever reason and had to take the taxi at the airport. The same happens when you fly into Ercan airport in Northern Cyprs, if you have arranged a pick... more

My husband and I stayed at the Pia Bella outside of the peak season in November and were very impressed. As the weather wasn't always burning sunshine, we needed to spend more time in the hotel and were very happy to do so! It was so comfortable, particularly the wooden flooring which proved much warmer than the traditional tiling you find in mediterranean countries. The only disappointment we had with the room was the fact that it had a faint smell of smoke, however when we complained, the hotel... more

Firstly I would like to thank the people of Kyrenia for their warm welcome, they were invariably helpful, polite and hospitable all of which contributed to a fantastic holiday. The JourneyFlight to Larnaca (southern Cyprus)…uneventful and on time. Book the extra leg rooms seats if you can. Food… typical airplane rubbish, I don't know why they don't just serve fresh sandwiches.I had arranged a transfer to Kyrenia privately with the Pia Bella at a cost of £45 …no taxi turned up. We had a lovely holiday at the Pia Bella hotel, and very much enjoyed our first visit to North Cyprus. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome, and if you ever had a problem, a young lady would come around at breakfast and sort it out. We had a dripping tap in our bathroom, and it was fixed within just a few hours, which I though was impressive. The staff were very happy to help us with booking taxis, as many drivers spoke only a little English. Our room was very clean, and we had a nice view of... more

My fiancée and I stayed at the Pia Bella at the beginning of this month and had an amazing time. We decided to upgrade to a superior room as we were promised better views and more space. We definitely got what we were promised, and more. The room was more like a suite and the mountain views were stunning! We found the hotel to be in very good condition and it was exceptionally clean. It was fairly minimal in terms of décor but we felt that it added to how pristine it was. The cleanliness of the... more

Obviously cannot comment on food as only had breakfast which was fine. The hotel is a pleasant 10 minute stroll from the harbour and the only drawback to some people was its position on the road. What did imprss about this hotel was the friendly staff, the relaxed feel of the place and the cleanliness. Our room was clean, good size and had very good facilities. The pool and garden areas were extensive and well maintained. Staff were friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast was excellent. (We only ate there one evening and the the food was fine but the menu did not seem to vary). The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Kyrenia Harbour and though we felt safe walking in the evening the street lighting was poor. A lovely hotel for a winter break, easily walkable into Kyrenia town and the harbour area, and local shops. Reception ordered us a meal on arrival, impressive as it was late, and were helpful with our luggage, etc. Room was neat, very clean and warm at night, and overlooked pool. (Might get noisy in summer but in january nobody was swimming outside!). This is the first time I spent the winter away from the UK, and it won't be the last. I can honestly say spending the winter in Kyrenia is money well spent. I avoided all the winter bugs that my friends back home had, met some lovely friends at the Pia Bella Hotel and had a wonderful travel experience.Although Kyrenia is not hot in January (it was around 60F, 15C when I was there) but the sun shone every day. When the temperatures dropped in the evening, the staff lit a big log fire in the bar.... more

The Pia Bella is probably mainly a summer hotel, as when we went in late November, it had a rather tired feel. it was also full with a UK tour group of small we say advanced years, which was obviously good for their business but not so good for the general buzz and atmosphere! We have never been to North Cyprus before, but were utterly charmed by the country we saw and the people we met there. The Pia Bella was not our first choice of hotel, but in the end was probably better than our original choice. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pia Bella Hotel for seven days. Our flight did not arrive until evening, yet we still found hotel staff to be available to check us in when we arrived. My girlfriend and I arrived late in the evening at the Pia Bella Hotel. We were greeted with welcoming smiles and an offer of food. Being late we decided food was a great idea. We had the dining room mostly to ourselves, and as a first romantic night it was perfect. When we arrived in our rooms it was big and clean. For anyone thinking of going to North Cyprus, I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. The owners and staff make your stay a wonderful experience and nothing is too much trouble. Being a family run business makes a big difference, and we noticed that many guests were returning for their third and fourth time. When we arrived, the hotel had already given us a free upgrade to a superior room as they were not full. It was a beautiful big room with modern furniture and a spotlessly clean wood floor.... more
