“Acceptable quality but very good value”

We had a short stay whilst checking progress on our property, the Malpas was chosen as very good value for half board as we were rushing about.

This was our first stay at the Malpas and are surprised at some of the reviews as it is not at the end of a dirt track but you drive through a residential area on tarmac roads and end up with fantastic views of the coastline and mountains.

It was very quiet as out of season but food and service very good with plenty of choice, the room was acceptable but could not get cold aircon working so opened the windows with no resultant background noise, not request it to be fixed as no need as we adapted.

As we were half board no idea on food prices but drinks reasonable considering the hotel quality. We agree that not 5* like you "expect" but we had no issues and would use again depending on prices.
