For the first time ever I booked a last minute deal for my wife and I. After searching on www.gonorthcyprus, I decided to chat to one of their agents- Gary, who offered us an amazingly cheap deal to Kyrenia, staying at the Bristol Hotel. He was very helpful, and funny, and recommended lots of places to visit as well as great restaurants and his advice was much appreciated!

As for the Bristol Hotel itself, there is little to complain about because it's a basic hotel at a basic price and it provided us with the base we needed in between sightseeing and late nights out on the beautiful Kyrenia harbour side!

Our room was a fair size, with simple and slightly dated furniture. The mattress wasn't overly comfortable, which is probably the only niggle I had about the hotel. I think that regardless of price, the bed should be comfortable. It was clean, which is always very important. We found the staff at the hotel to be friendly and helpful.

For a budget hotel, the buffet-style breakfast at the Bristol Hotel was very good. There wasn't a huge choice but it was all fresh and well presented. We had no reason to eat in the hotel at any other times because the nearby cafes and restaurants are just excellent, and in abundance. We did, however, visit the hotel bar and found the prices really reasonable, which is unusual for a hotel!

I think whether or not we return to the Bristol Hotel again very much depends on our budget. If we want a quick and reasonable getaway then we will probably stay here again because the hotel's location allowed us to do everything we wanted in Kyrenia. If we have more time to save then we'd definitely look for somewhere which could offer a little more luxury.
