“A Great weekend retreat”
The Bellapais Hotel was great for a quiet weekend. The little villa suited us perfectly though I was puzzled to find a kettle, 2 small Turkish coffee cups, but no coffee/ tea/ sugar!
We enjoyed the pool & all the staff were very friendly & helpful. What was extremely disappointing was the food. We were in Northern Cyprus, but 99% of the food was English, for ALL meals. Why does the hotel not serve Turkish food?The Turkish breakfast was, like the Moussaka, an apology for Ethnic food.
Fortunately, we discovered a wonderful restaurant in a nearby village, to which we went even though we had booked & paid for half board.
Liked — The quietness/pool
Disliked — The English food
