Oasis Hotel Karpas Review - 1 of 11 Reviews
This is a hotel review for Oasis Hotel Karpas in Karpas, North Cyprus
“A piece of history”
The interesting location of the Oasis is really what persuaded me to make a booking - I was fascinated by the pictures on the GoNorthCyprus website and spoke to Mandy in bookings to find out more. The hotel is actually built on the site of 5th century basilica and there are ruins next door of an ancient church too - all this really appeals to me as I have a keen interest in history. The hotel itself is small and basic but has a timeless feel and the beachfront location couldn't be bettered. With only a few rooms, the hotel's atmosphere is calm, quiet and relaxed, and the beach is secluded and well-attended by hotel staff ready to serve you a cooling drink. About a ten-minute walk away I found another beach, which is a nesting site for turtles, and further afield I enjoyed poking around the historic town of Dipkarpaz. This was a great value trip and I really enjoyed myself - if you like peace and quiet and the opportunity to explore history, this is the place for you too.
