We stayed at the Malpas Hotel Catalkoy.

The hotel lives up to its 5 star rating in all respects with the exception of the evening meal, whilst the food is presented well there is a lack of variety, although I am looking at this with English eyes so this is just my opinion.

In the main the hotel is very good, the facilities, pool, bar, rooms etc are excellent, although the alchoholic drinks are very expensive, the equivalent of about £8 a pint of local lager, wine is approx £4 a glass with spirits about £6, this is reduced by 25% during the happy 4 hours

17.00 til 19.00 then 21.00 til 23.00.

In the main the staff are fine, like most hotels you get the odd one whos not, Mahmud the bar manager is excellent, a very likeable man.

So in conclusion I would recomend this hotel to anyone who is going to visit North Cyprus as I would the agency who I booked through "gonorthcyprus", they got everything right.
