Golden Tulip Hotel Review - 2 of 4 Reviews

Despite reading a few negative reviews, my two friends and I decided to try out the Golden Tulip Hotel as it had everything we were looking at in a holiday, at a fairly reasonable price for this time of year. Booking through gonorthcyprus.com made the whole process so much easier for us. We dealt with Mandy who managed to get a deal with hotel and flights, which easily beat any travel agent package deals. We needed a city centre Nicosia hotel due to visiting famiy nearby.

The Golden Tulip Hotel looks as though it's been recently refurbished as the paintwork was crisp and the presentation of the rooms was excellent. I was especially impressed by the quality of the mattress and bed linen.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful but the one thing that disappointed us was that they allowed customers to smoke around the food areas and didn't seem at all fussed about how far away they were stood from the food counters. It was incredibly off-putting, especially as the breakfast buffet was really plentiful! Also the service was a little slow in the café.

The pool area at the hotel were very good- they were kept exceptionally clean and the whole experience was really relaxing- no-one pushing for a sun lounger. We had some lovely weather which really helped!

I think if we could a got good enough deal, we'd all say that we'd return to the Golden Tulip as it was very well presented and comfortable. I just hope the management take note of reviews and make the simple changes that it needs.
