Dome Hotel Review - 55 of 93 Reviews

The Dome Hotel is situated right at the heart of Kyrenia town; it is just 5 minutes walking distance from the magnificent Kyrenia Harbour and approximately 30 minutes drive from the Ercan airport and around 90 minutes drive from Larnaca Airport (which is where we arrived into the country). I took my wife away for our anniversary late last summer and chose the Dome on recommendation from some friends of ours and booked through a very helpful lady called Sue at 'GoNorthCyprus.com'. (If you want it all done for you, she's a great help!)

The hotel has numerous facilities to keep you entertained and occupied. The hotel has several classic bars, local shops, swimming pools, restaurants, local shops and other first class facilities. It offers an excellent sea-front setting with all-embracing facilities and elegant decoration.

It looks as thought the Dome had recently been renovated. The furnishings were in unusually good repair as far as we could tell and everything looked exceedingly clean. The service was also of a very high standard- staff were polite and spoke good English, and the reception was always manned on the rare occasions that we had a problem.

The wife and I like to try and stay in shape (most of the time) and we really appreciated having the gym and sauna available on a daily basis. The latter obviously provides an ideal environment for unwinding after a hard day's exploration, or at least for sweating off a hangover!

The bar has its own pianist most evenings which definitely added to the atmosphere for the old romantics amongst us. We're not sure how much the younger generation would enjoy that necessarily, but that's probably not the Dome's target audience I suppose.

To sum up, we had a brilliant anniversary and we immediately thanked our friends for the tip-off as soon as we got home. Our stay was comfortable and fun, and perhaps most importantly, hassle-free. I hope to return as soon as possible.
